Happy 2013!

Happy New Year!  How did everyone spend their last night of ’12?

I spent it without my husband, but my best friends, and it was fantastic!

Not everyone got Christmas cards, so I made some new year cards. This involved a photo and Happy New Year printed on card stock, spray adhesive, and glitter!  The flower up in the corner is recycled newspaper and the chipboard numbers are from BasicGrey’s Fact & Fiction line.  The background behind Happy New Year is glitter I found and copied and pasted til it made an entire background =)

I pray that 2013 shows you blessings beyond your wildest dreams, and you go for the gold in whatever you undertake!

Popcorn Ornaments?

So theornamentgirl.com is one of my new favorite places to surf!  I just saw on her facebook a popcorn ornament and had to wander over to her blog to see it!  (click on the pic to go to the tutorial)

oooooo and I was reading through the comments and found another good idea!  If you don’t want to pop corn in a glass ornament, find the plastic ornaments that open all the way and pop it before hand!

Pinterest and Sale

I have pinterest, I don’t use it a whole lot, but I have quite a few categories.  Some crafty, some inspirational.

Nose Stud Sale

Over at Etsy I’ve decided to do a sale on jeweled nose studs. I have created five listings for three jeweled nose studs at the price of two!  (usually $4 each)   https://www.etsy.com/listing/114812952/sale-buy-two-jeweled-nose-studs-get-one

I’m thinking about doing a sale Thanksgiving weekend, starting on Small Business Saturday and running through Cyber Monday.

Instead of changing the prices of all my listings, I’ll give out a coupon code and it will expire at midnight on Cyber Monday.

I won’t start on Black Friday, well, because I’ll be out at midnight on Thanksgiving and not back til the wee hours of the morning, then I will be serving dinner at my house Friday night.  (New tradition a friend started, I like to go for the company and the laugh at the bargain fever, it gets crazy around here, not to mention last year I found a PS3 with a game for $200)

If you haven’t already, like my page on Facebook, I’m undecided if I’ll post the code there or both here and there.

Photographic Ramblings

I just find that pictures do more justice than me rambling on for no reason.  I especially don’t want to get myself started on politics…

I’m doing two craft shows coming up; December 1st at Baker College in Owosso, and December 2 at Gutting Law in Owosso.

Holiday Traditions

Christmas is starting to take on new meanings for me.  I’m going to keep up with traditions, because they remind me of loved ones, but I’m also going to start new ones.  We have to remember the reason for the season.

We decorate a Christmas tree, hang stockings, and make way too many cookies.  I say Merry Christmas, because even if you don’t celebrate it, I want you to have a merry day on December 25th.  I want you to be Blessed, no matter who or what you believe in.

What Holidays do you celebrate this time of year?  What special traditions do you have?

I want to scrapbook Christmas this year, and I’d like to make a few pages dedicated to all the traditions my family and friends like to keep the most.  If you’re reading this, I’d like to consider you in one of those two categories, so please, leave a comment and it will get added to the scrapbook. =)

Happy Holidays!
